This is a ‘Rat Box’ made from a design in The Smallholders DIY By Michael Roberts, a book from the Golden Cockerel Series.

I’ve found these very useful for situations where you want the fenn trap completely contained and transportable.  The lids on these can be adapted to make them lockable which is a very reassuring if you have children around.

This is a ‘half tunnel’ suitable for using baited rather than as a run through.  The back of the box is usually sealed but I have left it off this one to show how the Fenn trap sits between the jump rails.  This helps to make the kill quick, clean and humane.
